The Ultimate Club Sandwich

4 slices of fresh bread of your choice (Levain/sourdough bread is preferred)

1 tbsp of salted butter

4-6 slices of bacon (organic, no sugar added is preferred)

4 slices of deli turkey or chicken breast

1 heirloom tomato

½ medium avocado

2 tbsp of pickled red onions (refer to recipe)

A handful of mixed greens of your choice per sandwich

Approximately 10 slices of a sharp cheddar block (I love the flavor of Cabot)

Sweet ‘n Spicy Garlic Aioli

3 tbsp of mayo (I prefer Primal Kitchen)

1 garlic clove, crushed (this garlic crusher is amazing)

½ tsp honey

Parsley flakes

Garlic powder

Red pepper flakes

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.       Cook your bacon according to directions on package and set aside.

2.       Heat a large pan or griddle on low-medium heat. Butter one side of each of your slices of bread and place butter side down in your pan once heated.

3.       As the bread is toasting, slice your tomato, avocado, and cheese and mix together all ingredients for your garlic aioli.

4.       When your bread is golden brown, remove from the pan and assemble your sandwiches! Spread garlic aioli on 2 of your slices and then mash the avocado on the other 2 slices. Layer your remaining ingredients and close your sandwich. Cut in half and enjoy!
